The lich gate of St George's church, Poynton. I deliberately included the street furniture, as I didn't like the saccharine Beatrix Potter look without it. In 2B pencil on A5 NOT cold pressed fine grain watercolour paper.

This is well composed on the paper. However, each element is fighting for attention. Heavy, dark lines make things come forward. Soft, vague lines make things recede. Can you do this again please? You will learn more by re-doing the same subject a second time, rather than moving on to a different scene.
